Embodied Creation, the international workshop led by Polish artist Mertcan Semerci, explored how simple movement can become meaningful stage material, focusing on authenticity, presence, and the performer’s ability to shape space through action.
Through physically engaging exercises, participants developed body awareness, sensitivity, and a range of expressive movement qualities. The process emphasized discovering the body’s inherent potential and uncovering new forms of communication in unfamiliar situations, culminating in each participant creating a short personal étude combining physical and textual elements emerging from their individual exploration.
